Maksim Vodopyanov is an independent Australian-based electronic music producer, DJ and songwriter known professionally as
BALARAM
Born in Russia and growing up between Moscow and the lush backdrop of the New South Wales Northern Rivers region. BALARAM has been creating music for over 6 years, experimenting with trap, future bass and other genres. Several of his tracks explore the fusion of these genres with elements of classical Indian beats, drawing upon his Hare Krishna heritage.
BALARAM has been seen every day spending hours in the studio working on various tracks and collaborating with other artist. From writing lyrics in the early hours of the morning, to recording samples and vocals, to tirelessly mixing and editing into the dead of the night, not a stone is being left unturned in ensuring that every song is an accurate representation of the best of BALARAM’s sound, as well as an incredible piece of work in its own right.
